About us

BETTER BUILT INC. is a construction firm specializing in renovations, additions, and custom home building throughout the Coachella Valley.

Once a small construction firm, BETTER BUILT has grown into a full-service design-build enterprise featuring a beautiful showroom in the hip Uptown Design District of Palm Springs, California. Owner, Mike Yakovich, had a vision of bringing together talented individuals from different modalities and backgrounds to provide customers a one-stop design-build construction experience. In practice, this theme unified the construction business with a full-service kitchen and bath design studio and designer showroom. Each person brings unique perspective relative to past experience ranging from TV, fashion, real estate, architecture, and interior design.

Born and raised in Palm Springs, Mike, often called 'Big Mike', understands the subtle differences of the communities that make up the Coachella Valley. In working with numerous residents Mike saw the need to streamline the process and bring together all elements of construction and design for the benefit of the client. Over the years he has fostered relationships with subcontractors with the same ideals and work ethic. Our goal is exceptional quality and most importantly, happy clients.

It's just better, Better Built.

  • An Alternative Approach to Building and Design. Nobody does it Better.
  • “Simplicity is about subtracting the obvious and adding the meaningful.” - John Maeda
